    type: NEXT
    slot: 51
    is-permanent: true
    item:
      material: ARROW
      name: "&a&lNext >"

  # Note: For dynamic last page, you'd need a custom solution
  # since JUMP requires a static page number

Dynamic Amount Display

Show the page number as the item amount:

items:
  page-selector:
    type: JUMP
    slot: 13
    to-page: 1
    item:
      material: PAPER
      amount: 1 # Shows "1" in the corner
      name: "&7Page 1"

Combining with View Requirements

Hide page buttons that don't exist:

items:
  page_3:
    type: JUMP
    slot: 47
    to-page: 3
    view-requirement:
      requirements:
        - type: placeholder
          placeholder: "%zmenu_player_max_page%"
          action: SUPERIOR_OR_EQUAL
          value: 3
    item:
      material: PAPER
      amount: 3
      name: "&7Page 3"

Use Cases

  1. Large catalogs - Quick access to specific sections
  2. Organized shops - Category-based navigation
  3. Page selectors - Visual page number display
  4. Bookmarks - Jump to favorite/important pages

Limitations

  • Page number must be static (defined in config)
  • For dynamic page jumping, use custom actions or plugins

Best Practices

  1. Indicate current page - Use view-requirement + else
  2. Use visual amounts - Set amount to match page number
  3. Group by category - Organize jump buttons logically
  4. Add tooltips - Use lore to explain what's on each page
  5. Combine with arrows - Include PREVIOUS/NEXT for sequential navigation

GroupeZ MCP

Documentation in your AI

MCP lets your AI search GroupeZ documentation and read current examples to help you configure your plugins.

Read-only · No documentation API key needed

1. Copy the server URL

Transport: HTTP (Streamable HTTP). Authentication: none. Your tool uses its own model and subscription limits.

  1. Open Plugins in ChatGPT on the web, then + → Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it ‘GroupeZ Documentation’, paste the URL above and choose ‘No authentication’. Create and install the plugin.
  3. In a conversation, type @ and select the plugin before asking. If needed, enable search, get_page and list_pages in its settings.
Official setup guide

3. Ask a question

Use GroupeZ MCP to help me create a zMenu inventory. Search relevant pages, read the examples and cite your sources.
Other clients and troubleshooting

For clients using mcpServers, adapt this example to their format:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "groupez-docs": {
      "url": ""
    }
  }
}

Available tools are search, get_page and list_pages. Refresh the connector’s tools after updates. If your AI cannot access them, check that the connector is enabled in the conversation and your account allows custom MCP servers. Opening the URL in a browser is not an MCP test.
